Product Designer - Global Markets

About the role

KPay, a fintech company serving 95,000+ merchants across Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Australia, is hiring a Product Designer for its Australia-based Product team. The role brings an Australian and Western market perspective to products used by businesses worldwide, working with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers across global teams. It suits a 1-3 year designer who wants ownership and international exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Design end-to-end flows and features for business and financial products, including user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs
• Bring the Australian and Western market view to product decisions, and run merchant interviews, concept testing and usability research
• Own the English source experience, including interface copy, terminology, hierarchy and error states
• Design with localisation and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards in mind
• Take part in design reviews, share design thinking with senior designers, and balance customer needs, business goals and technical constraints
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design and Business teams across Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Guangzhou and other markets

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience designing digital products, or equivalent portfolio experience
• A strong portfolio showing thinking and problem-solving, not just final screens
• Strong understanding of Western product conventions and user expectations
• Excellent written and verbal English
• Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity

Required skills

• Interaction and visual design
• Preferred: B2B, SaaS, fintech, payments or financial services experience
• Preferred: user research, usability testing, multi-market design, accessibility and design systems
