Procurement Specialist – MRO & Capex (ANZ)

About the role

Baxter is seeking a proactive Procurement Specialist to support manufacturing operations across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead sourcing and supplier management for MRO and Capital Expenditure categories, partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to implement category strategies and achieve short‑, medium‑ and long‑term value goals.
• Manage RFQs, RFIs and RFPs from market engagement through supplier selection and award.
• Conduct spend analysis, supplier benchmarking and market assessments to identify value opportunities.
• Lead negotiation, execution and ongoing management of contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, Engineering Services Agreements and NDAs.
• Maintain supplier relationships and drive improvements in cost, quality, service and delivery.
• Provide regular updates on category pipeline, savings and project status to senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or category management, preferably in MRO, facilities management, engineering services or capex.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and contract management capability.
• Proven ability to work in a matrix, multicultural and virtual team environment.

Required skills

• Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa, Ariba or JDE.
• Knowledge of contract types including MSAs, SOWs, Amendments and NDAs.
