Procurement & Contract Officer – APS5/6 (Government)

About the role
This position supports a high‑performing procurement team within a leading Australian Federal organisation. The role contributes to critical operational, corporate and strategic initiatives that protect communities and deliver essential public services.
Key responsibilities
- Support end‑to‑end procurement activities from planning to contract award.
- Develop procurement documentation, sourcing plans and evaluation criteria.
- Assist with RFQs, tenders, supplier engagement and evaluation processes.
- Conduct market research and prepare reports, approvals and contract documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- Experience in government procurement and familiarity with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement and a collaborative, customer‑focused approach.
- Active NV1 security clearance and Australian citizenship are mandatory.
