Process Operator – Weighbridge

About the role

Join Wilmar Sugar & Renewables as a Process Operator on the weighbridge at Proserpine Mill. You will be responsible for accurately weighing incoming cane, ensuring growers are paid correctly, and supporting smooth mill operations during the crushing season and maintenance periods.

Key responsibilities

• Control the first station in the mill, moving cane from bins to the milling train.
• Maintain accurate cane consignment data and record scheduled weighbridge test weights.
• Troubleshoot automated bin‑handling equipment to keep the mill running efficiently.
• Uphold housekeeping standards around the weighbridge and schedule cleaning activities.
• Communicate regularly with Cane Supply & Transport, Laboratory teams, and mill management on performance and quality issues.
• Achieve relevant sugar‑milling competency modules.

Required profile

• Strong communicator able to work with diverse teams.
• Willingness to obtain high‑risk work licences such as Confined Space and Working at Heights (training provided for the right candidate).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and a safety‑first mindset.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting of automated handling systems.
