Private Corporate Tax - Senior Manager or Director

About the role

EY Private's Tax practice is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Director or Senior Manager to join its Private Corporate Tax team in Warringah, Sydney. The role involves working directly with clients, building strong relationships and leading teams to deliver tax advisory services for complex businesses such as entrepreneurs, private equity-owned corporates and founder-led businesses. It is a hybrid position, and flexible working with reduced hours may be possible.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive tax advisory services for inbound and outbound groups, and post-deal taxation services for acquired corporates.
• Advise on tax corporate governance policies and processes, and review corporate income tax returns.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing the delivery of tax services and building strong client relationships.
• Work with Partners to run market development initiatives and drive business growth.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate tax advisory and corporate tax compliance, ideally in a top-tier accounting firm or corporate business consulting environment.
• Tax technical knowledge relevant to private companies.
• Experience managing junior staff and their development.
• Ability to build strong and lasting business relationships.

Required skills

• Ideally strong commercial awareness and first-class numerical and analytical skills.
