About the role

Catholic Education Western Australia Limited invites applications for the Principalship at St Helena's Catholic Primary School in Ellenbrook, WA, commencing 1 January 2027 (or negotiable). The school is a co-educational Catholic primary school for Pre-Kindergarten to Year Six, founded in 1999, and is seeking a Christ-centred, visible and approachable Principal to build on the school's strengths and provide strategic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Build a Christ-centred Catholic culture where Gospel values and the school's charism are evident in relationships, teaching and decision-making
• Strengthen prayer, Religious Education, liturgy and faith formation, and partner with the parish and wider Catholic community
• Promote excellence in student learning, wellbeing and development, and lead evidence-informed teaching in Literacy, Numeracy and inclusive learning, with a focus on EAL/D and culturally and linguistically diverse learners
• Engage families, the parish and the wider community, and strengthen parent engagement and celebration of cultural diversity
• Manage staffing, finances, facilities and resources responsibly, and lead sustainable school improvement
• Foster staff wellbeing and development

Required profile

• Practising Catholic and experienced educator committed to Catholic Education
• Accredited for Leadership of a Catholic School Community or equivalent
• Collaborative, future-focused leader who supports the strategic priorities of the broader Catholic Education system
• A relevant Master's degree (or working towards it) is highly desirable
• Current Teacher Registration for Western Australia (TRBWA)
• Current Working with Children Check (WA WWCC) or ability to obtain one
• Legally permitted to work in Australia
