Principal Project Manager – Software Delivery

About the role

As a Principal Project Manager within AVEVA Australia Software Services Delivery and PMO, you will lead large‑scale software service delivery projects across the Pacific region. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large‑scale software delivery projects.
• Lead cross‑functional technical teams and coordinate client acceptance testing.
• Review high‑level deliverables, manage scope changes and assess impact on budget and timelines.
• Implement consistent project management methodologies and quality assurance procedures in line with PMO policies.
• Monitor and mitigate risks, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project financials, including revenue recognition, invoicing and procurement strategies.
• Track progress with appropriate tools and produce clear activity and progress reports.
• Identify add‑on sales opportunities and support the sales team with proposals and demos.
• Capture lessons learned and apply them to future projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in software or IT service delivery.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑country, multi‑site projects, including global rollouts.
• Strong understanding of IT integration, MES, KPI dashboards and SCADA systems.
