Principal Investment Advisor

About the role

The Principal Investment Advisor joins the Global Investment Attraction team to drive inward investment that fuels economic growth and job creation in Queensland. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, collaborating with overseas and regional offices, investors, and local partners to deliver commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop commercial investment outcomes in partnership with the Director.
• Manage a client portfolio, meet KPI targets and build future pipelines.
• Collaborate with TIQ’s overseas and Queensland teams to identify and implement investment opportunities.
• Deliver innovative projects aligned with priority sectors and Queensland’s Trade and Investment Strategy.
• Maintain investment project data in TIQ’s CRM system and report business outcomes to senior management.
• Support planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders across public and private sectors.
• Represent TIQ on inter‑departmental committees and industry forums.

Required profile

• Proven experience in investment attraction, economic development or related commercial roles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across cultures and sectors.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.
