Principal – Catholic Boarding & Day College

About the role

St Ursula’s College, an independent Catholic boarding and day school for girls (Years 7‑12) in Yeppoon, Queensland, is seeking an exceptional educational leader to assume the role of Principal from January 2027. The successful candidate will guide a thriving community of approximately 700 students, upholding the Presentation charism and the College’s commitment to faith formation, academic excellence, and holistic development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and leadership to advance the College’s educational outcomes and Catholic identity.
• Lead and inspire a highly capable staff, fostering professional growth and collaborative practice.
• Oversee curriculum development, innovation, and continuous improvement aligned with contemporary educational trends.
• Strengthen relationships with the Board, parents, alumni, and the wider community.
• Ensure compliance with Queensland education regulations and maintain teacher registration standards.

Required profile

• Practising Catholic with a deep commitment to the Catholic tradition and Presentation charism.
• Post‑graduate qualifications in Education, Leadership, Religious Education, Theology, or a related field.
• Current Queensland teacher registration or eligibility.
• Proven senior leadership experience in Catholic schooling.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
