Primary Teacher (36‑month Fixed Term)

About the role

Marble Bar Primary School is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher for a 36‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position starting Term 4, 2026. The role is based in a remote Aboriginal community and supports students from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality literacy instruction using evidence‑based approaches such as Letters and Sounds, Heggerty, and Talk for Writing.
• Implement explicit teaching practices to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Apply Positive Behaviour Support, restorative practices, trauma‑informed approaches, and social‑emotional learning strategies.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, families, Elders, and community partners.
• Collaborate with Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers, Elders, and community members to support Two‑Way Learning and culturally responsive teaching.
• Maintain high expectations for attendance, engagement, behaviour, and achievement.
