About the role
This full‑time, 36‑month fixed‑term position starts in Term 3, 2027 and is based at Halls Creek District High School in the Central Kimberley Region. The role focuses on delivering primary education to a predominantly Aboriginal student cohort.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in literacy, numeracy and English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D).
- Implement explicit teaching pedagogy aligned with the Kimberley Schools Project.
- Collaborate with school staff and local communities to support student achievement.
- Maintain high expectations and a caring classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development and school improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Qualified primary teacher with registration to teach in Australia.
- Willingness to live and work in a remote community.
- Flexibility, resilience and a collaborative mindset.
- Interest in supporting Aboriginal students and community engagement.
