Primary Classroom Teacher (Parental Leave Replacement)

About the role

Sacred Heart College is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Primary Classroom Teacher to join its Primary Campus on a parental‑leave replacement basis. This full‑time contract role runs from 15 June 2026 to 24 September 2027 and involves delivering high‑quality Catholic education to students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the primary curriculum in line with Catholic education principles.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Participate actively in school life, including assemblies, extracurricular activities and community events.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student wellbeing and academic progress.
• Adhere to the Tasmanian Catholic Education Single Enterprise Agreement 2024.

Required profile

• Commitment to the aims and philosophy of Catholic education.
• Relevant graduate or postgraduate teaching qualifications.
• Registration as a teacher in Tasmania (or ability to obtain registration before start date).
• Willingness to fully engage in the life of the school community.
