Practice Manager - Greencross Vets Chatswood

About the role

A busy, growing clinic in Chatswood, co-located with Petbarn, is looking for a Practice Manager to lead its team and support the clinic's continued growth. The role is full-time (38 hours per week) with flexible scheduling: five shorter shifts or four longer shifts, and at least one Saturday per month. It suits experienced Practice Managers, Head Veterinary Nurses, senior veterinary professionals or customer service leaders, and welcomes leaders from other customer-focused fields.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support veterinary nurses, reception team members and support staff
• Nurture a positive, engaged clinic culture and coach team members
• Manage rostering, workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding and performance management
• Work with the Veterinary Director and regional leadership to drive clinic performance
• Monitor clinic performance, manage stock control, supplier relationships and clinic administration
• Ensure client service standards, compliance, workplace health and safety and client feedback are handled well
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement

Required profile

• Previous practice management, head veterinary nurse, team leader or leadership experience
• Passion for developing people and coaching others
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Commercially minded and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Veterinary leadership experience is highly regarded; non-veterinary leaders may spend about three days a week supporting reception
