PostgreSQL Developer – SQL Server to PostgreSQL Migration

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to lead a migration from SQL Server to PostgreSQL using AWS tools. The role involves converting T‑SQL objects to PL/pgSQL, managing data replication, and ensuring data integrity throughout the migration process.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end migration from SQL Server to PostgreSQL using AWS SCT and AWS DMS.
• Convert T‑SQL procedures, functions, and triggers to PL/pgSQL.
• Configure and manage full‑load and CDC replication with AWS DMS.
• Perform data validation, integrity testing, and post‑migration checks.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure a smooth cut‑over.
• Work directly with customer stakeholders and deliver independently.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL architecture.
• At least one complete heterogeneous database migration project.
• Strong understanding of differences between T‑SQL and PL/pgSQL.
• Experience with AWS SCT and AWS DMS (full load + CDC).
