Required profile
- Completion or near completion of a PhD in bioengineering or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in microfluidic device design and fabrication.
- Demonstrated experience in polymer chemistry, hydrogels or surface immobilisation chemistry.
- An emerging research profile, with evidence of quality research outputs in refereed journals or conferences.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and contribute to joint research projects.
Required skills
- Microfluidic device design and fabrication.
- Polymer chemistry, hydrogels or surface immobilisation chemistry.
- Advantageous: experience applying microfluidic technologies to biological systems, biomolecular analysis, protein engineering or related applications.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional expertise in cell and animal biology, computational biology or molecular biology and protein expression is highly regarded. Applications close 27 October 2026 and require a two-page resume and a two-page response to the 'About You' section; pre-employment checks may include verification of the right to work in Australia.
