Porter – Luxury Hotel Guest Services

About the role

As a Porter at Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable arrival and departure experience in a luxury setting. You will work closely with the Front Office and Concierge teams to deliver personalised service and uphold the hotel’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage valet parking, and handle luggage with a polished, welcoming attitude.
• Promote and upsell valet services by clearly communicating its convenience and premium benefits.
• Maintain an immaculate lobby and porte‑cochère, reflecting the hotel’s luxury brand standards.
• Provide tailored recommendations for local dining, attractions and experiences.
• Arrange transportation – taxis, limousines, airport transfers – with attention to detail.
• Collaborate with Front Office and Concierge to ensure a seamless guest journey.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and pride in representing a luxury brand.
• Natural ability to connect with guests and deliver proactive, personalised service.
• Strong communication, emotional intelligence and professional presentation.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks in line with lifting procedures.

Required skills

• Valid full Australian driver’s licence.
• Experience with valet parking and luggage handling preferred.
