Plumbing Traineeship - Year 10 Students

About the role

The Reece Group, which supplies plumbing and bathroom products to plumbers and retail customers, is offering a school-based traineeship for Year 10 students at its Plumbing Newcastle branch. Partnered with Murray Mallee Training Company Ltd, the traineeship leads to a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations and combines work in the branch with certificate requirements such as workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Follow Reece's values, policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and answer the phone to take messages and orders
• Complete all requirements of the certificate, including workbooks, on-the-job training and assessments
• Process sales and manage stock
• Build product knowledge and follow up with customers
• Contribute to keeping the branch at a high standard

Required profile

• Year 10 student with good written and verbal communication
• Ability to follow instructions, enthusiasm and a great attitude
• Team player willing to try new things and keep a neat, tidy workplace
• Saturday availability; about 1.5 days per week, with extra hours during school holidays recommended
