Plant Manager – Mining & Processing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the Gurulmundi bentonite processing plant. Reporting to the Managing Director Australia, you will be responsible for safety, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and develop skilled operators to build a high‑performance team.
• Drive a strong HSE culture, manage risk and ensure compliance with EPA, Department of Natural Resources and Mines regulations.
• Oversee daily plant operations, capacity planning, asset reliability, inventory management and customer service.
• Lead operational excellence initiatives using TPM, Kaizen, SWP, daily management and KPI monitoring.
• Manage or support onsite projects and mining campaigns as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Plant Manager in continuous process manufacturing.
• Experience in minerals‑based industries or process engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and engineering equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automation or related field (or equivalent trade qualifications).
• SSE certification for bentonite mining and processing is a plus.
