Plant Manager

About the role

As Plant Manager you will lead the Tullamarine manufacturing site, overseeing all aspects of operations including safety, quality, cost and people. You will drive operational excellence, support regional transformation initiatives and ensure top‑class service for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all site operations while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, service quality and overall performance.
• Deliver on financial targets, including cost per unit and operational budgets.
• Strengthen quality systems and reduce customer claims.
• Build and develop a high‑performing, engaged team.
• Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and align supply‑chain activities.
• Ensure reliable and efficient production planning and execution.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (extrusion, thermoforming or similar preferred).
• Demonstrated success in leading teams and developing frontline leaders.
• Strong track record in safety leadership and cultural transformation.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Ability to balance people, performance and process.
• Hands‑on, present and approachable leadership style.
• Leads by example, especially in safety and behaviours.
• Effective communicator with influence at all organisational levels.
• Pragmatic, structured and action‑oriented.
• Builds trust and accountability across teams.
• Tertiary qualifications preferred in Science, Engineering or Supply Chain disciplines.
