Plant Manager

About the role

Thomas Foods International is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its Small Stock processing plant in Stawell, Victoria. This senior position will drive continuous improvement, operational optimisation, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the entire Small Stock processing plant, overseeing daily operations.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety (WH&S) and food safety compliance.
• Take ownership of P&L performance, driving commercial outcomes.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve production targets.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and HACCP standards.
• Engage with stakeholders and produce regular performance reports.
• Collaborate with Project and Operations Leadership on plant expansion initiatives.

Required profile

• Formal qualifications in Meat or Food Processing, or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in a plant leadership role, preferably within meat or food processing.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to maximise revenue.
• Deep understanding of the Small Stock industry and product utilisation.
• Proven ability to lead teams through change and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Effective delegation and time‑management capabilities.
