Plant Manager – Concrete Plants (Yatala & Burleigh)

About the role

Hy-Tec is looking for a Plant Manager to run its Yatala and Burleigh concrete plants. Reporting to the Production Manager, the role leads a small, close-knit team with a strong focus on quality, continuous improvement and customer service. It offers the chance to deliver short- and long-term improvements that support the company's growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met
• Schedule and supervise batching staff across the two locations
• Supervise Concrete Agitator Drivers (company and lorry owner drivers)
• Coordinate plant maintenance and perform basic maintenance
• Manage stocks of raw materials
• Deliver a high level of customer service, including cash sale reconciliation
• Support plant staff, including order taking and batching
• Manage and support customer projects

Required profile

• Cement industry experience is mandatory
• Concrete batching experience combined with demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience is highly regarded
• People management skills and excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• Able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies
• Strong customer service focus

Required skills

• Forklift and front-end loader licences (preferred)
