Planner – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Malabar System Alliance Project is looking for an experienced Planner to join the team in Parramatta. You will develop, maintain and monitor project schedules to ensure timely delivery of milestones and operational requirements. The role works closely with project managers, engineers, contractors and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work programs.
• Coordinate planning activities across multiple project teams and workstreams.
• Track project progress against approved baselines, milestones and deliverables.
• Identify schedule risks, constraints and potential delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support resource planning for labour, subcontractors, equipment and materials.
• Produce look‑ahead schedules and short‑ and long‑term planning reports.
• Monitor project performance and provide accurate forecasts for completion.
• Facilitate planning and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in planning or project scheduling within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, construction or maintenance environments.
• Strong understanding of project planning principles and scheduling methodologies.
• Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• Experience working within Alliance or major infrastructure project delivery models is desirable.
