PhD Scholarship in Climate-Resilient Water Research

About the role

The ARC Training Centre for Climate-Resilient Water is seeking highly motivated PhD candidates to join a national, industry‑connected research program that tackles Australia’s water challenges under a changing climate.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with leading academics and 28 industry partners to co‑design climate‑resilient water solutions.
• Contribute to one of three research themes: Collaborative Governance, Reliable Water, or Future Water Precincts.
• Participate in design challenges, national community of practice, and advanced training programmes.
• Produce high‑quality research outputs that inform policy, engineering, and governance.

Required profile

• Honours or Master’s degree with a research component.
• Background in environmental engineering, hydrology, water resources, environmental science, urban planning, economics, public policy, law, data science, sustainability transitions, decision making, or community engagement.
• Motivation to conduct applied, impact‑driven research.
• First Nations applicants are encouraged; international and domestic candidates are welcome.
