Pharmacist in Charge

About the role

As the Pharmacist in Charge at Ramsay Pharmacy within Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, you will lead all pharmacy operations, ensuring safe, high-quality medication management for patients in a busy private hospital setting. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, maintain regulatory compliance and drive clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy services and oversee medication management.
• Lead, mentor and develop pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Ensure compliance with TGA, APHRA and hospital accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Manage inventory, budgets and operational efficiency.
• Implement innovative pharmacy practices and quality-improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as a pharmacist.
• Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy environment (preferred).
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
