Personal Injury Lawyer

About the role

Carroll & O'Dea Lawyers, a mid-tier firm with offices across Sydney, Melbourne, Parramatta, Campbelltown, Wollongong, Hobart and Newcastle, is seeking a proactive lawyer with at least four years' post-admission experience to join its Parramatta-based Personal Injury team. The full-time role works on workers compensation, work injury damages, litigation, dispute resolution, motor vehicle accidents and public liability matters, with a mix of office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Direct liaison with clients and providing accurate, timely advice
• Preparing court documents, orders and general correspondence
• Managing high-volume files and matters, with occasional supervision
• Attending court, dispute resolution and settlements
• Legal research
• Mentoring junior staff such as law clerks

Required profile

• Valid NSW Practising Certificate
• Minimum of four years' post-admission experience in personal injury law (essential)
• Demonstrated understanding of personal injury matters and procedures (essential)
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and handle matters sensitively
• Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
