About the role

St Vincent's Care is looking for a Personal Care Assistant (Living Support Partner) to work as an effective household member in a specific household at its residential aged care facilities in Carseldine and Boondall, Queensland. The role is supervised and provides direct care and assistance to residents with all activities of daily living, helping them feel safe, valued, respected and engaged.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices
• Assist and support residents' wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties
• Work as a household member under supervision, providing care in a specific household

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care or similar qualification (essential)
• 6 months or more of experience in a similar role; residential aged care experience (dementia experience) highly regarded
• Good availability to work morning, afternoon and mainly night shifts
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Understanding of aged care, resident rights and responsibilities, and ability to follow the care plan
• Police clearance and NDIS Worker Screening Check are mandatory

Required skills

• Experience with AutumnCare (or similar software) and the ability to maintain excellent records
