About the role
Compass Group Australia is hiring a permanent part-time chef for its Bundoora site, 15 km north-east of Melbourne. The role prepares, cooks and serves meals, applies catering control principles and contributes to the care of residents at the facility.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve meals at the Bundoora site
- Apply catering control principles covering food safety, waste minimisation and cleaning
- Maintain food safety documents
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers' needs and requests, such as reducing salt or removing dairy
Required profile
- Proximity to the Bundoora worksite
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or another chef qualification)
- NPC Police Check holder, or willingness to obtain one
Required skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene and workplace health and safety protocols
