About the role

Aspect Vern Barnett School is seeking a permanent, full‑time Classroom Teacher to join its autism‑specific program. The role starts in Term 3 2026 or Term 1 2027 and involves delivering evidence‑informed, student‑centred learning for children on the autism spectrum across multiple campuses in NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized learning programs using best practice autism education methods.
• Maintain small class sizes and collaborate daily with a dedicated teacher aide.
• Work closely with students, families, school psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure a holistic support system.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse strengths, interests, and aspirations of each student.
• Contribute to data‑driven reporting on student progress and outcomes.

Required profile

• Commitment to work at the main campus in Forestville and be available for satellite sites (St Ives, Lane Cove, Eastwood).
• Passion for inclusive education and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment.
