People Operations Team Leader

About the role

The People Operations Team Leader will oversee day‑to‑day HR service delivery across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, you will work closely with regional leaders to support caregivers and office teams, ensuring a compliant, engaged, and high‑quality workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Caregiver Coaches and support staff, allocating workload and coaching performance.
• Manage HR operations including onboarding, off‑boarding, employee records and legislative compliance.
• Maintain HR data integrity, produce reports and workforce metrics.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Oversee workers’ compensation and injury‑management procedures.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives and optimise HR systems.
• Support employee experience programmes such as performance reviews and engagement activities.
• Act as escalation point for employee‑relations matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations or generalist HR roles.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a small team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
• HR qualification (or working towards one) is desirable but not mandatory.
