About the role
The People & Culture Manager will partner with the Head of People & Culture to support Flying Bark’s Sydney studio, ensuring HR processes align with global standards and local regulations. The role covers the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to separation, and drives engagement and compliance across three studio locations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage employee relations and industrial relations issues, including disputes, disciplinary actions, performance management, and workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Administer benefits programs and support compensation processes, conducting market benchmarking to keep offerings competitive.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, supporting culture‑building activities and learning‑and‑development rollouts.
- Collaborate on HR projects such as implementing a learning management system and facilitating annual performance and salary review cycles.
- Produce HR reports, conduct audits against the Broadcasting, Recorded Entertainment and Cinemas Award, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Coordinate with People & Culture managers in Los Angeles, Sydney and Madrid to ensure consistent practices and knowledge sharing.
Required profile
- A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience handling employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance in a medium‑to‑large organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage HR projects and reporting, including audit preparation.
- Strong advisory skills with a focus on fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Experience working across multiple locations or supporting global HR initiatives is advantageous.
