About the role
Disney’s ANZ People & Culture team is seeking a People & Culture Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent & Growth, APAC & ANZ and the ANZ P&C Business Partner, you will be the first point of contact for Cast Members and leaders, delivering practical HR advice and supporting the employee lifecycle across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical HR advice on policies, processes, programs and practices, escalating complex issues as required.
- Support employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations and redundancies.
- Manage employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, off‑boarding, maximum‑term contracts, secondments, visa tracking and employment changes.
- Coordinate leave management, including parental leave, working with Global HR Operations and Payroll.
- Assist Talent & Growth initiatives: learning and development planning, talent and succession activities, performance cycles, coaching programs and learning system administration.
- Deliver annual HR processes such as End‑of‑Year performance, merit and talent cycles, including reporting and data collection.
- Maintain employee communication channels like the weekly Cast Member Bulletin, Benefits Portal and DToolsHR.
- Support benefits and engagement programmes, including wellbeing initiatives, recognition programs and the Wellness Spending Account.
- Contribute to HR projects across Australia and New Zealand, taking ownership where appropriate.
Required profile
- 3–5 years experience in an HR advisory or similar role.
- Experience supporting or leading Talent & Growth, Learning & Development or employee experience initiatives.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Management or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
