People & Community Lead – Founding Team (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a People & Community Lead to join our founding team. This part‑time, remote position will shape the internal culture and external community of a cybernetic theatre company that blends AI‑native journalism with live performance criticism.

Key responsibilities

• Own the hiring process for the five other founding roles, from intake to pipeline management.
• Design and run the intern‑to‑collaborator pathway for early‑career talent.
• Develop and maintain HubSpot workflows for community and applicant nurturing.
• Facilitate async collaboration across three cities (Montréal, NYC, Sydney) and keep the team aligned.
• Engage artists, partners, and audiences through digital channels, ensuring a welcoming experience.

Required profile

• Experience (paid, volunteer or academic) in people operations, community management, program coordination or a related talent‑adjacent field.
• Familiarity with seed‑stage or pre‑seed startup environments is a plus.
• Passion for early‑career development and clear opinions on how to support it.
