Payroll Officer – High‑Volume Payroll Management

About the role

Join a dynamic People & Culture team as a Payroll Officer, responsible for end‑to‑end payroll processing for over 3,000 employees across multiple states. The role is based in Northmead with the flexibility to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly and fortnightly payroll accurately for up to 3,000+ staff.
• Handle payroll for various award and enterprise agreement arrangements.
• Manage superannuation, deductions, and workplace giving transactions.
• Set up and maintain payroll records for new hires, changes, and terminations.
• Resolve payroll queries and support business requests across allocated states.
• Ensure audit compliance and governance for payroll payments and adjustments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated Australian payroll experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and related legislation.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships at all organisational levels and deliver high‑quality customer service.
