Part-Time Registered Nurse (Aged Care)

About the role

Aegis Aged Care is recruiting two part-time Registered Nurses for its Alfred Carson facility in Claremont, on Wednesdays to Saturdays (0700-1530) and Sundays to Tuesdays (0700-1530). The nurse champions high-quality, safe and effective clinical care and enhances the quality of life of residents.

Key responsibilities

• Complete clinical, social and lifestyle assessments
• Monitor and respond to changing resident health needs
• Coordinate referrals and further assessments where required
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families and respond promptly to feedback and enquiries
• Keep care plans and clinical documentation accurate and up to date
• Identify, assess and manage clinical risks and promote compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Coach, mentor and develop care staff, share clinical expertise and support the Clinical Nurse Manager

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Previous clinical experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting
• Full Australian working rights and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
• Compassionate, motivated and committed to person-centred care, with strong leadership and mentoring skills

Required skills

• Excellent clinical judgement and decision-making
• Strong clinical risk management skills
• Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality systems
