Part-Time Oral Health Therapist / Dental Hygienist

About the role

An established dental practice is looking for a passionate Oral Health Therapist (OHT) or Dental Hygienist to join its team on a part-time basis, working 1-2 weekdays per week. The practice has a boutique two-chair setup focused on preventative care, patient education and long-term patient relationships, and offers genuine work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental check-ups and professional cleans
• Provide scaling, polishing and preventative dental treatments
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and home-care routines
• Deliver periodontal maintenance and ongoing preventative care
• Perform basic restorative treatments such as fillings where applicable to qualifications and scope of practice
• Build positive patient relationships and work with a supportive dental team

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist
• Confidence in routine check-ups, cleans and hygiene treatments; full adult restorative scope is not required for OHT applicants
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative team
