Part-Time Medical Receptionist

About the role

CQ Medicentre Northside and CQ Medicentre Southside are two privately owned general medical practices offering medical care in a warm, inclusive and caring environment. They are looking for an experienced medical receptionist to join their team on a permanent part-time basis at both sites. The practices open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, and 8:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Front desk management, including all administration duties
• Patient management: greeting and welcoming patients, answering phone enquiries, making and confirming appointments, checking, processing and managing customer accounts, and assisting callers with general enquiries
• Maintain the Best Practice patient database
• Process and receipt payments using TYRO, DVA, WorkCover and Medicare billing
• Keep the reception area and doctors' consulting rooms tidy

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience as a medical receptionist (ideal)
• Ability to work autonomously and efficiently, with strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of and commitment to patient confidentiality
• Reliable and punctual

Required skills

• Experience with Best Practice software (preferred)
• Familiarity with TYRO, DVA, WorkCover and Medicare billing
