Part-time Guest Service Agent – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Part‑time Guest Service Agent to be the first and last point of contact for our guests at Mercure Melbourne Doncaster. You will play a key role in delivering a memorable stay by handling check‑ins, check‑outs and providing personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Manage check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Assist guest inquiries and provide personalised recommendations.
• Handle reservations and room allocations when required.
• Process payments using POS and property management systems.
• Maintain a welcoming, organised, and secure front‑desk environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to exceed guest expectations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a hotel, resort or hospitality environment is highly regarded.
• Minimum of 12 months’ experience in a customer‑service role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Proactive, solution‑focused mindset with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and occasional night shifts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Opera cloud system.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Familiarity with property management systems.
