Part-Time Chef – Early Learning Centre

About the role

Busy Bees, a global early learning provider with over 130 centres across Australia, is seeking a passionate and organised part-time Chef for its centre at Hocking. The role works approximately 27.5 hours per week and involves preparing fresh, nutritious meals that support the health, wellbeing and development of children aged 0-5 years.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines
• Cater for allergies, intolerances and cultural dietary requirements
• Manage food ordering, budgeting and stock control
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety Standards
• Work with the Centre Leadership Team and contribute to children's learning about nutrition and healthy eating

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook (childcare experience highly regarded)
• Genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Working with Children Check for WA, or willingness to obtain it

Required skills

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene
• Strong organisation and time management
• Understanding of allergen management and child-safe practices
