Part-Time Chef - Aged Care Kitchen

About the role

Uniting Thomas Bowden is looking for a part-time Chef to join its kitchen team in Ryde, NSW. The role prepares and serves nutritious, high-quality meals that support the wellbeing of residents, with consistent roster hours and a supportive team. Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with menu and dietary requirements
• Apply food safety, hygiene and workplace health procedures
• Maintain food safety documentation and compliance standards
• Manage stock control and stock rotation
• Support efficient kitchen operations and minimise waste
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in hospitality, healthcare or aged care
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Commitment to a safe and positive workplace culture
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
• Availability to work Saturdays and Sundays
