Part-Time Bookkeeper

About the role

Join Tomfoolery, a privately owned wholesale supplier of costumes and plush toys, as a part‑time Bookkeeper. You will own the day‑to‑day financial administration, ensuring accurate, compliant records while supporting the General Manager and business owner with insightful reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily accounting transactions.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, including supplier invoices and foreign‑currency payments.
• Handle accounts receivable, allocate payments and maintain debtor accounts.
• Monitor customer rebates and ensure correct processing.
• Prepare and present reports on sales performance, cash flow, debtors and outstanding payments.
• Maintain supplier payment registers and finance procedures.
• Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and Payroll Tax.
• Process weekly payroll and monthly superannuation.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and tax specialists.
• Collate purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices and supplier statements.
• Manage finance‑related emails, phone enquiries and administrative tasks such as insurance renewals.

Required profile

• Organised, reliable and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role.
• Familiarity with Australian tax obligations (BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax).

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
