Parks Operator

About the role

The City of Perth is seeking a Parks Operator to support the day‑to‑day horticultural, landscaping and turf management of parks, reserves and open spaces. Working under the guidance of a Team Leader, you will help keep our green spaces healthy, safe and attractive for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a wide range of horticultural equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain and clean all plant, machinery and hand tools to ensure they are in good working order.
• Assist with the preparation, planting and upkeep of garden beds and landscaped areas.
• Mow, brush‑cut and edge lawns, parks and open spaces as required.

Required profile

• Team‑player who can collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrates the City’s core values of Commitment, Teamwork, Courage and Respect.
• Holds a valid Australian C‑class driver’s licence and meets fitness‑for‑work and police‑clearance requirements.
