Outage & Asset Engineer

About the role

The Outage & Asset Engineer will support ACCIONA’s waste‑to‑energy facilities by preparing, planning and executing plant outages and managing asset control. Working closely with the Plant Manager and local O&M teams, the role ensures safe, efficient operations while meeting revenue and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain operational and business processes and procedures.
• Streamline outage activities in collaboration with on‑site O&M teams.
• Analyse downtime and plant interruption data to establish best practices and implement lessons learned.
• Assess plant performance and drive projects that increase business value.
• Manage the ACCIONA CMMS system to track assets at multiple levels.
• Lead planning and delivery of major annual outages for boilers and steam turbines.
• Support O&M teams during major breakdowns outside scheduled outages.
• Maintain up‑to‑date asset monitoring and rectification in the CMMS.
• Explore creative alternatives for system, process and business improvements.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers and third parties throughout outage phases and into operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, engineering or plant operations.
• Proven experience managing outages and asset engineering in industrial settings.
