OT Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

AirTrunk is looking for an experienced OT Security Engineer to raise the operational technology cybersecurity maturity across its hyperscale data centre portfolio. The role sits in the Cybersecurity team and works closely with engineering, facilities, construction and regional site teams to ensure OT environments are secure and resilient.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve AirTrunk’s OT cybersecurity uplift programme.
• Perform security assessments of OT systems, networks, ICS/SCADA and building management systems, identify gaps and drive remediation.
• Develop and roll out OT security standards, policies and procedures aligned with ISA/IEC 62443 and NIST 800‑82.
• Collaborate with engineering and project delivery teams to embed security controls into new builds and retrofits, including network segmentation and hardening.
• Support deployment and tuning of OT security monitoring tools such as asset discovery, anomaly detection and network security monitoring.
• Assist DC operations with incident response, vulnerability remediation, patching, firmware updates and configuration management.
• Maintain visibility of OT assets, risk posture and control effectiveness across sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience securing operational technology environments in data centre or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of OT protocols, control systems and building management infrastructure.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional technical teams.
