OSHC Coordinator - Kilcoy

About the role

Helping Hands Kilcoy, a growing service supporting families in a local rural community, is seeking an inspiring and motivated OSHC Coordinator. The role leads a team of Educators and oversees a before- and after-school program for children aged 5-12 years. It is a permanent, part-time position of 32.5 hours per week, split across Monday to Friday with 5 hours of dedicated non-contact administrative time.

The service runs Rise Then Shine (6:30am-9:00am) and Stay and Play (2:30pm-6:00pm), with block shifts during school holidays. The venue has a large indoor space that can be set up and packed down each day.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead a vibrant, child-centred program with activities such as STEM, sport, cooking, arts and crafts
• Take ownership of rosters, daily operations, compliance and administration
• Build a positive, inclusive team culture where Educators feel supported and motivated
• Partner with families, the school community and internal stakeholders to help the service grow

Required profile

• Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 2-Year Qualified Educator in QLD under ACECQA
• Leadership experience working with children
• National Child Safety Training completed before onboarding (via Gecko)
• Willingness to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
• Australian work rights
