OSHC Assistant Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

The OSHC Assistant Coordinator supports the delivery of a safe, inclusive and engaging Out‑of‑School Hours Care service for children in Matraville. Working closely with the Service Coordinator and Regional Operations Officer, you will help create a nurturing environment that aligns with the values of Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Responsible Person for the OSHC service, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage children’s attendance, bookings and supervision to maintain a secure environment.
• Assist in designing and implementing educational and recreational programs.
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff and the wider community.
• Document and share children’s experiences and achievements with families.

Required profile

• Current or in‑progress qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Previous experience working in Out‑of‑School Hours Care.
• Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
• Completion of mandatory national child safety training (GECCKO) and a child protection training certificate.
• Current First Aid Certificate.

Required skills

• Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks and OSHC best practices.
• Ability to maintain accurate attendance records and supervision ratios.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with families and staff.
