Operations & Transport Officer

About the role

The Operations & Transport Officer will support depot operations across Western Australia, ensuring smooth transport coordination, stock management and compliance. Reporting to the Operations Manager – WA, you will work closely with agents, distributors and internal teams to maintain inventory accuracy and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cylinder stock movements and inventory across depots, agents and distributors.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing stock, including container arrivals, labour requirements and storage solutions.
• Conduct monthly stocktakes of cylinders and consumables to verify inventory accuracy.
• Forecast, order and monitor consumable stock levels to support production.
• Track out‑of‑test cylinders at customer sites and arrange timely replacements.
• Support depot compliance activities, corrective action management (CARs) and safety initiatives.
• Assist with depot upgrade projects, contractor coordination and invoice processing.
• Generate operational reports and data insights using Business Intelligence tools.

Required profile

• Previous experience in operations, transport, logistics, supply chain or inventory management.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to regional locations.
• Knowledge of Linde products is an advantage.
