Operations Manager - Golf Course Venue

About the role

GreenSpace Management is seeking a hands-on, motivated and versatile Operations Manager for its Little Para Golf Course in Paralowie, South Australia. The venue includes a Golf Course, TrackMan Driving Range, SHANX Mini Golf and food and beverage facilities. It operates with a small, close-knit team and wants a manager who leads by example, is comfortable with opening and closing procedures and is as comfortable serving customers, collecting driving range balls, preparing food or assisting with events as managing the team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of the Golf Course, Driving Range and Mini Golf, including opening and closing procedures.
• Serve customers, manage bookings, process transactions and deliver a welcoming experience.
• Collect, wash and replenish driving range balls, maintain equipment and keep the range clean and safe.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages, assist with catering and maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
• Help plan, set up, cater, coordinate and deliver events, functions and group bookings.
• Work alongside staff, support training and coordinate daily operational duties.
• Assist with rostering, shift coverage, leave management and staffing levels.
• Help collect, check and process supplier invoices and coordinate them with the finance team.
• Clean, maintain and present the grounds, and help run the Golf Shop stock control and ordering.
• Ensure workplace health and safety, food safety and liquor licensing obligations are met.
• Support the Facility Manager in meeting operational targets, improving customer satisfaction and increasing revenue.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, retail or venue operations; golf course, driving range or event coordination experience is desirable.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, able to lead a team while staying involved in daily work.
• Willingness to do physical tasks such as ball collection, cleaning and maintenance.
• Current RSA certificate, Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Available to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Golf knowledge is highly desirable but not essential; PGA professionals are welcome.
