Operations Coordinator

About the role

Veolia Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join its Mackay team. The role is central to running the daily collection schedules, optimising routes and delivering high-quality service to customers. It is a Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm position, working on site.

Key responsibilities

• Check and review driver paperwork for accuracy and completeness
• Manage the daily collection schedule to allocate resources and complete jobs
• Identify route optimisation and continual improvement opportunities to boost efficiency and productivity
• Maintain organised records and files and perform administrative tasks
• Assist with other operational tasks as required
• Cross-check driver confirmations and resolve anomalies
• Ensure customer expectations are exceeded
• Prepare job analyses and make sure risk assessments are carried out, keeping safety standards

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally in transport or logistics
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to multitask and prioritise
• Intermediate computer literacy
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical check including drug and alcohol screening, and a National Police Clearance

Required skills

• SAP experience is advantageous but not required
