About the role

The Operations Business Partner role at Canva is a hybrid, Sydney‑based position that blends operational excellence with people‑focused initiatives. You will partner closely with senior leaders to keep large, cross‑functional teams aligned, moving forward, and feeling connected.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational cadence and goal delivery by establishing clear rhythms, tracking progress against company objectives, and facilitating timely conversations.
• Own high‑impact, cross‑functional programs, providing structure, coordination, and momentum to ensure successful completion.
• Champion culture and people experience by designing and delivering onsite events, team forums, celebrations, and milestone recognitions.
• Maintain clear communications, synthesising complex information into concise updates for the broader group.
• Support large teams (100‑2,000+ members) and report to the Chief of Staff or senior Ops Business Partner in the area.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational or program‑management roles within fast‑moving, scale‑up environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive clarity across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational rhythms that promote accountability.
• Passion for fostering inclusive culture and enhancing people experience.
