Occupational Therapist

About the role

Symbolic Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist for a full-time position in Sydney. The therapist assesses, plans and implements individualized therapy programs so that clients can reach their personal goals and improve their daily functioning, working with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
• Use therapeutic techniques and activities to improve clients' physical, emotional and social well-being.
• Monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Educate clients and their families on strategies to support independence and daily living skills.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Stay informed about best practices and advances in occupational therapy.

Required profile

• Certificates in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient and dedicated to improving clients' lives.
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
